Homeland Security and Risk / Threat Assessment When the smoke was rising from the The commission investigating the 9/11 terrorist attacks
found that workers in the private-sector and first responders were unprepared
for a catastrophic terrorist attack.
The commission underscored the importance of private–sector
preparedness. Since 85 percent of the nation’s “critical infrastructure”
is controlled by private businesses, it is important that homeland security
and preparedness begin with the private sector.
PMC
International will assist you in maximizing your investment by providing
expert guidance on critical issues to mitigate security threats to your
business operations. We provide you with a comprehensive and cost effective
security and threat audit in any of the following areas: v Personnel Security We will determine who, other than your
own employees, has access to facilities and ensure that those persons are
fully identified and cleared. We will make recommendations on manners of
limiting and controlling the access of such individuals to your facilities
and/or employees. We will examine
peripheral security to your facility to ensure mechanisms are in place to
ensure employee safety when entering or departing a facility. v Liaison to Law
Enforcement and Emergency Services If an event occurs which impacts
your company, we can serve as liaison with law enforcement and emergency
services to ensure your company is kept informed of actions which will have
continuing impact on your operation. v Bomb Threat Lost production hours and injuries
resulting from unorganized evacuations are just some of the problems that can
accompany a bomb threat. Our Bomb Technicians can train your personnel in
screening of packages and vehicles and establish response plans to bomb
threats and suspect packages. Additionally, we will conduct site surveys and
recommend systems and training to minimize the potential for becoming a
victim of an actual bombing. v Workplace Violence We have a program to address
workplace violence and "de-escalate" potentially injurious
situations. We work with your staff on site to identify personnel and assign
specific roles, as well as to isolate the threat and allow evacuation of as
many personnel as possible. Our staff includes personnel experienced in
hostage negotiations. v Threat Assessment We will assess the threat level to
your business based upon a variety of factors including the area in which
your company operates, geographic location of facilities, hardness of
facilities, and public awareness. The potential for being a target of any
terrorist group, religious or political, will be clearly articulated along
with recommendations for actions to take to minimize risk. v Terrorism Threat Our terrorism experts will conduct
site assessments and recommend preventive systems and mechanisms to minimize
the threat of terrorist attack or infiltration. v Facility Security Where your facilities are located
can be critical. Are you in a skyscraper? Do you share space with other
companies or Government agencies that could be targets? Are you in a remote,
rural location? These differences represent challenges in both protecting
your assets and continuing business should you be displaced. We will assess
your facility to determine vulnerability of power, telecommunications, air
and water supply, presence and/or storage of potentially dangerous or toxic
substances and make necessary recommendations according to our findings. We
will examine your facility access control for employees, visitors,
sub-contractors and delivery personnel and recommend mechanisms and systems
to ensure security is maintained. We
will examine vehicular access to your facility and recommend mechanisms and
architectural alternatives to harden the facility and minimize risk. We offer confidential residential
security surveys to a variety of clientele, including: CEO’s, business
executives, celebrities, sports figures, government officials, etc. |
